Algeria – Several Algerian tycoons, who have benefited from the power, are targeted by an extensive investigation, Ennaher TV reported.
These oligarchs, denounced by the majority of the people through massive demonstrations that continue since February 22, are subject to a judicial inquiry with respect to their fortunes.
In addition and as a precautionary measure, the passports of the targeted oligarchs have been confiscated.
In this vein, a list with the names of several Algerian businessmen banned from leaving the country was transmitted yesterday, Sunday, March 31, at all airports and border crossings of the country.
Earlier, the tycoon Ali Haddad has been arrested while trying to cross into neighbouring Tunisia, local media say.
