Algeria: 7 oligarchs’ passports confiscated, investigation entrusted to National Gendarmerie


Algeria – An extensive investigation has been launched against several Algerian oligarchs, suspected of squandering public money and illegal enrichment.


According to Ennahar TV, seven suspects among businessmen and their relatives are the subject of a decision to confiscate passports, while the investigation continues with other symbols of corruption.

This investigation was, according to the same Channel, entrusted to the research brigade of the National Gendarmerie of Bab J’did, Algiers.

According to Ennahar TV, these measures come to respond to the demands of the people.
