Speaking at the regular session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Foreign Affairs, preparatory for the 30th Arab Summit, Lamamra said in his speech that the situation that the Arab nation is experiencing “confirms that we urgently need to remedy this crisis by rehabilitating our Arab League, reforming it and revising its mode of operation and performance, so that it will be in tune with new regional and international developments. ”

The success of the Arab Summit, Mr. Lamamra continues, “is, above all, dependent on the resolution and actions that meet the requirements of our common interests and our national security”.

“What our Arab nation experiences requires us to solve our problems on our own, through dialogue, negotiation, and candor, with high values of solidarity, and by uniting the ranks, “he insisted, adding that” these are the best options left to overcome the difficulties and the critical situation in our Arab countries”.
