Seizure of diplomatic passports: Foreign Affairs Ministry refutes

Algeria – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) refutes reports that diplomatic passports have been seized by security authorities.

“The information disseminated by some media outlets, including electronic ones, about an alleged seizure by a security authority of diplomatic passports are farfetched, false and unfounded,” said a statement from the Ministry.

“While recalling that this category of Passports is issued, exclusively, to persons authorized in accordance with the laws and regulations in force, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attests that no restrictive measure has been taken by any authority against the holders of these travel documents, “the same statement concluded.
