Béji Caid Essebsi on popular movement in Algeria

Algeria – Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi has reacted once again to the popular movement that Algeria has been experiencing for more than a month in an interview with Al Arabiya.

“President Abdelaziz Bouteflika has done his duty, but the Algerian people want to end this experience,” he said.

Refusing to give lessons to anyone, the Tunisian president said that his country “does not interfere in the internal affairs of others” .

“The Algerians have watered their land with their blood. They are able to handle the situation wisely, “he pointed out.

Beji Caid Essbsi said, moreover, that he knows Algeria perfectly. Because, according to him, a good part of the Algerian revolution (against the French colonialism) was carried out in Tunisia.
