Algiers, March 25 (Prensa Latina) The Director General of APS (Algerie Presse Service), Abdelhamid Kacha, expressed on Monday the will to consolidate and expand the relations of cooperation and exchange of diverse journalistic material with his similar Prensa Latina.
Kacha welcomed in his office, adjacent to the headquarters of the Algerian Ministry of Information, the Cuban ambassador in Argel, Clara Pulido, and the press and culture attaché of the diplomatic delegation, Carlos Javier Gutierrez, accompanied by Ulises Canales, editor-in-chief of Prensa Latina.
The meeting, attended by host Soumia Mali, responsible for cooperation and training in APS, and an experienced APS journalist specialized in international issues, served to review common episodes in the history of Cuba and Algeria.
During the meeting, Kacha offered to provide graphic and audiovisual material to Prensa Latina with the purpose of contributing to a better knowledge of the local reality in Latin America and the Caribbean.He also expressed willingness to support all efforts to channel the journalistic work of the Latin American agency in this country and expressed the hope the bilateral links will be revitalized with exchanges, visits and greater collaboration.
Kacha and Pulido discussed the current political situation of the respective nations and other regional and international issues of interest, as well as the common challenges facing Algiers and Havana in the current global situation.
