Algeria: “Psychotropic” sweets circulating in market (document)

Algeria – A note was issued, in El Oued’s province, to traders (wholesalers and retailers), warning them of the existence in the market of psychotropic candies.

“Following a correspondence from the wali, the president of the Communal People’s Assembly  of Still Commune informs shopkeepers and grocers that the candies called ‘haloua delphine, (candy dolphin)’ contain a drug that puts anyone who consumes it, especially children, in a hysterical state, “warns the document.

Thus, “it is forbidden to sell these sweets in shops or markets”.
