Consultations underway to form new government


ALGIERS-Prime Minister, Noureddine Bedoui and Vice Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ramtane Lamamra started consultations to form a new government “of national competences with or without political affiliation” under the guidelines of President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, a well-informed source said Sunday.


According to the same source, “the new government would be composed of national competences with or without political affiliation, significantly reflecting the demographic characteristics of Algerian society.”

A working session involving Bedoui and Lamamra focused on the component of the next government.

The underway consultations will be broadened to the representatives of the civil society and political figures that expressed the wish to partake with a view to establishing a “broad-based government.
