Mali’s Foreign Minister in Algiers, Saturday


ALGIERS- Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Kamissa Camara of Mali will be in Algiers Saturday for an official visit to Algeria (March 16-17), at the invitation of Ramtane Lamamra, the deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, the ministry said Thursday in a statement.

This visit is part of the strengthening of the excellent relations of friendship, cooperation and neighborhood exixting between Algeria and Mali.

During this visit, both parties will assess the implementation of the Agreement for Peace and National Reconciliation in Mali stemming from the Algiers process, the source said.

Ms. Kamissa Camara’s stay in Algiers will also provide an opportunity to review bilateral cooperation and ways and means to deepen economic and trade exchanges to give a greater dimension to the Algerian-Malian partnership.

It will also be an opportunity for both ministers to continue the tradition of consultation between Algeria and Mali on regional and international issues of common interest, the statement concluded.
