New government will be technocratic, says Bedoui


ALGIERS- Prime Minister Noureddine Bedoui said Thursday the new government, whose members will be announced in the coming days, will be “technocratic,” representing all forces and experts, especially the young, and will be “open” to all political currents.

“Regarding the new government component, we are in a period of consultation and the next executive will be composed of technocrats, representative of the national forces and skills, able to help manage the transition period, which should not exceed one year to meet aspirations of the Algerian citizen, “Bedoui said at a press conference co-hosted by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ramtane Lamamra.

Mr. Bedoui said that the work of the next government will “put all the means to enable the proper functioning of the various services and institutions of the country,” saying that the government will be established soon to prepare the National Independent and Inclusive Consensus Conference to which the President of the Republic had called “.

He assured that “the doors of dialogue are open for everyone, without exception and exclusion”, inviting Algerians “who believe in their nation and its institutions, and are aware of the value of peace and stability, to work hand in hand for the sole purpose of making Algeria a very stable country and moving forward towards a better future devoting the rule of law “.

Regarding the creation of the post of Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Bedoui said he had no problem with this and that the members of the next government will work “in harmony to meet the challenges of this sensitive period that the country lives and meet the expectations of the Algerian people expressed during the last demonstrations “.
