President Bouteflika inks two decrees


ALGIERS- President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika signed Monday two presidential decrees, one of which creating the post of deputy Prime Minister, the presidency of the Republic said in a statement.

The first presidential decree “reporting the provisions of Presidential Decrees No. 19-08 of 17 January 2019, convening the Electoral Body for the Election of the President of the Republic”.

The second presidential decree concerns the creation of the post of Deputy Prime Minister.

President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika sent, Monday, a message to the nation in which he announced the postponement of the Presidential Elections of 18 April 2019, and his decision to renounce his bid to seek a 5th term as president.
