Algeria-Turkey: For an intensification of industrial cooperation


ALGIERS- Algeria and Turkey reaffirmed, Saturday in Algiers, their common willingness to intensify industrial cooperation through the signing of a partnership agreement between the Cosider group and a Turkish company for the construction of ductile iron pipes in the industrial zone of Sidi Khettab (Relizane).

Presiding the signing ceremony of the agreement between the Algerian group and Turkish society, the Minister of Water Resources, Hocine Necib said that “the high political authorities of both countries have a common desire to intensify bilateral cooperation and diversify and increase the volume of trade  “.

He also invited Turkish businessmen to work with their Algerian partners to strengthen ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, participate in the national renewal project and make mutually beneficial business.

Present at this event, the Minister of Industry and Mines, Youcef Yousfi stressed the importance of this plant especially for the strengthening of the steel industry in Algeria.

For his part, the CEO of Cosider stressed that this partnership agreement symbolizes for the group the continuation of redeployment process of its activities.
