Video – Students protest against Bouteflika’s 5th term in Algiers

Algeria – Hundreds of students gathered peacefully this Tuesday, February 26 in several universities of the capital Algiers.


At the Central College, dozens of students took the streets waving placards and chanting slogans against Abdelaziz Bouteflika’s candidacy for a fifth presidential term.
The largest gathering in Algiers is held at the University of Algiers 3 (ITFC) in Ben Aknoun, where hundreds of students express their refusal of a new candidacy of the current Head of State.

At the University of Bouzaréah, a smaller gathering was improvised by dozens of students. At the university of Dely Ibrahim too.

In addition, there are several other student demonstrations in other wilayas of the country, including Bejaia, Batna and Constantine.
