Counterterrorism: Terrorist “Abu Abdellah” surrenders to military authorities in Tamanrasset

“The terrorist Ben Bila Abdellah, known as “Abu Abdellah”, who joined the terrorist groups in 2017, surrendered yesterday, February 12, 2019, to the military authorities in Tamanrasset in 6th Military Region,” said, on Wednesday, a statement from the Ministry of National Defense.

As part of the fight against terrorism and thanks to the efforts of the People’s National Army Forces, the terrorist named “Ben Bila Abdellah”, aka “Abu Abdellah”, surrendered yesterday, 12 February 2019 to the military authorities in Tamanrasset.  The terrorist, who joined the terrorist groups in 2017, was in possession of one (01) Kalashnikov-type machine gun and two (02) ammunition-loaded magazines.

As part of the fight against organized crime, detachments of the ANP intercepted, during separate operations in Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar and Djanet, (32) gold miners and two (02) smugglers and seized (05) trucks, (02) all-terrain vehicles, (91) generators, (46) jackhammers, (14,000) liters of fuel, (11,164) tonnes of mixture of stones and raw gold as well as other objects.

On the other hand, combined detachments of the ANP apprehended, in Blida, Tlemcen and Sidi Belabbès, five (05) drug traffickers in possession of (35.5) kilograms of treated Hashish, while elements of the National Gendarmerie arrested, in Ghardaia, an individual in possession of three (03) drones. Similarly, (26) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were intercepted in In-Guezzam, Tlemcen and Laghouat.
