Algerian cultural caravan in several cities in France


An Algerian cultural caravan will set off in the coming days to meet members of the Algerian community in several cities in France, the Algerian embassy in France said Friday.

This caravan reflects the constant and personal care of the President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, to the national community abroad, added the same source.

Initiated in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and the National Office of Copyright and Neighboring Rights (ONDA), this caravan was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdelkader Messahel, during the 3rd orientation meeting and coordination, held October 30, 2018 at the Embassy of Algeria in France, with the heads of consular posts of Algeria in France.

On 14 January, a coordination meeting brought together Ambassador Abdelkader Mesdoua, the Algerian consuls-general in France and ONDA’s CEO, Sami Bencheikh El Hocine, at the headquarters of the Algerian embassy in France , and the representative of the Ministry of Culture.

Concerts, exhibitions, conference-debates, shows and dances will be organized by the Algerian consulates general at the level of the cities of Paris, Lille, Strasbourg, Marseille and Lyon before spreading throughout the French territory where the Algerian community is present.
