Some 20 Algerian exhibitors active in the agricultural and agri-food sector will participate in the 137th edition of the International Fruit and Vegetable Show “Fruits Logistica 2019” to be held from February 6 to 8 in Berlin (Germany).

Led by the Minister of Commerce, Said Djellab, the Algerian delegation will participate in “Fruits Logistica 2019” to affirm the Algerian agricultural potential abroad and explore new export opportunities.

This show will, therefore, be an opportunity for Algerian companies to publicize the quality of the local product by offering a diversified offer, and establish new business contacts to promote exports of agricultural and agri-food products.

In recent years, Algerian agricultural exports have been experiencing a steady pace, confirming the vitality and dynamism of the agricultural sector, which is recording significant surpluses in several sectors.

Algerian agricultural exports reached $ 60 million in 2018 compared to $ 44 million in 2017.

Considered one of the most important fruit and vegetable trade fairs in Europe, “Fruits Logistica” will bring together more than 3,200 exhibitors from 80 countries.

According to the organizers, more than 78,000 trade visitors from 130 countries are expected at this event, which offers important business opportunities for participants by networking key players in the fruit and vegetable sector.
