The former Deputy Defense Minister, Abdelmalek Guenaizia, died, today, Monday, February 4, at the age of 82, announced his relatives.

According to our information, retired Major-General Abdelmalek Guenaizia died, on Monday, in Geneva, Switzerland.
Born on November 20, 1936, Abdelmalek Guenaizia joined the ranks of the National Liberation Army in 1958 when he was 22 years old.
Trained, notably, in the former USSR, the deceased held several high positions in People’s National Army. In 2005, he was appointed former Deputy Defense Minister.
