Two semi-automatic rifles, ammunition and 108 kg of treated Hashish were seized, Wednesday in Adrar, by a detachment of National People’s Army (ANP), in coordination with the customs services, said, Thursday, a statement from the Ministry of National Defense.
“As part of the fight against smuggling and organized crime, a detachment of the National People’s Army, in coordination with the Customs, seized, on January 30, 2019 in Adrar (3rd Military District), two (02 Simonov type semi-automatic rifles, 272 bales of different calibres, as well as 100.8 kilograms of treated Hashish, “said the same source.
In the same context, combined detachments of the ANP “arrested, in Ain Defla and Tipaza, two (02) drug traffickers in possession of 54 kilograms of treated Hashish”, while “3,152 units of different drinks were seized in Bechar and El-Oued “.
On the other hand, detachments of the ANP “seized, during separate operations in In-Guezzam and Bordj Badji Mokhtar, 4 trucks, an all-terrain vehicle, 40 tons of food, 4.480 liters of kitchen oil and 31,200 liters of fuel “.
