Abu Dhabi: High Islamic Council’s Chairman to represent Algerian experience of living together



The Chairman of the High Islamic Council, Bouabdallah Ghoulamallah, will take part, in Abu Dhabi from February 3 to 5 at the “Global Conference of Human Fraternity”,  where he will present the Algerian experience of living together and the fight against violent extremism, announced,  Wednesday, the Council in a statement.

Mr. Ghoulamallah, who will participate in this event at the invitation of the Secretary General of the Council of Muslim Elders, Sultane Faysal Arroumaithi, will host a conference on the history and historical efforts of Algeria in the spread of tolerance, living together and in the fight against violent extremism, emphasized the High Islamic Council.

Algeria, which initiated the national reconciliation policy, is considered to be the world leader in this field and its efforts are recognized by the United Nations, which declared May 16th of each year the international day of living together in peace on proposal of the Algerian government.

According to the same source, Abu Dhabi meeting will be based on three main axes, namely: the principles of human fraternity, the common responsibility in the realization of fraternity and the challenges and opportunities around living together and the mechanisms of the fight against extremism.
