Housing Sector: Roadmap to boost strong momentum in 2019


 ALGIERS- Minister of Housing, Urban Planning and the City Abdelwahid Temmar held, Tuesday in Algiers, with the sector executives of the country’s 48 provinces, a review meeting to draw up a roadmap on housing projects’ execution and distribution to foster the sector in 2019.


In a press statement after the closed-door meeting, Temmar said that “after the assessment of achievements in 2018, in terms of housing distribution, a roadmap will be drawn up in consultation with the Housing Directors of the 48 provinces, so as to coordinate with these leaders and boost, in 2019, a stronger dynamic than last year , in terms of the achievements of the housing sector “.

Also, it was agreed with these officials “the imperative to meet the schedule (deadlines) and construction standards and work to ensure the safety conditions of the employees, said the first person in charge of the sector.

The Minister of Housing had already reported a program of 180,000 homes recently enrolled for the year 2019, to be launched in the first half of this year. It consists of 90,000 rental / sale homes, 40,000 rural dwellings and 50,000 assisted housing units (LPA).
