Tindouf: 3rd Algerian commercial caravan departs to Nouakchott


TINDOUF-The 3rd Algerian commercial caravan took the road from Tindouf to Nouakchott (Mauritania) in the presence of Trade Regional Director and provincial authorities in Tindouf.

The caravan, to join Nouakchott on January, 31st, 2019, consists of 16 trucks belonging to the group of goods transport and logistics (LogiTrans), according to the Ministry of Commerce’s press release, a copy of which was given to the APS.

This step is part of the government program to promote Algerian products, encourage non-hydrocarbon exports and consolidate trade between Algeria and Mauritania after the opening of the land border crossing “Chahid Mustapha Benboulaid”.

Carrying a quantity of 370 tons of various Algerian products, including food products, plastic products and packaging, the caravan will travel, in nine days, a distance of 3,500 km to Nouakchott, including 1,800 km on the national territory and the rest on Mauritanian one.
