New Upper House members installed


ALGIERS- The new members of the Council of the Nation (Upper House of Parliament) have been installed Tuesday in a plenary session chaired by Senator Salah Goudjil in his capacity as the eldest member.

The 18 members of the Council of the Nation appointed by the President of the Republic  are: Abdelkader Bensalah, Mohamed Akhamoukh, Said Berkat, Aicha Barki, Fouzia Benbadis, Mohamed Benteba, Nouara Saadia Djaafar, El Hachemi Djiar, Mohamed Zakaria, Hamoud Chaib, Abdelkader Chenini, Abdelkrim Koreichi, Salah Goudjil, Djamel Ould Abbes, who are appointed for a six-year term.

The two other members, Rachid Boushaba and Mohamed El Oued, are appointed for a three-year term.
