Algeria-Ghana Friendship Parliamentary Group installed


Algeria-Ghana Friendship Parliamentary Group was installed, Sunday, at the headquarters of People’s National Assembly, in the presence of the Ghanaian Ambassador to Algiers, Nana Kwesi Arhin and a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said a statement from the assembly.

Overseeing the installation ceremony of the parliamentary group, APN Vice-President Abderrezak Terbeche reviewed “the state of the historical, solid and distinguished relations between the two countries”, welcoming the rapprochement of views between both countries in different issues, “the statement added.

Mr. Terbeche also stressed “the need to raise cooperation at the highest level, for the relaunch of development, the fight against terrorism, violent extremism, transnational organized crime, the trafficking of human beings, drug trafficking and illegal migration “.

Ghana’s ambassador to Algiers, for his part, expressed appreciation for the efforts made to promote bilateral cooperation “, calling for ” its diversification to include other areas “.

On the other hand, the president of this parliamentary group, Mourad Taous said that “this mechanism is intended to be a link between the two countries in order to strengthen cooperation relations and achieve more rapprochement”, concluded the press release.
