FM Messahel represents President Bouteflika at Davos Economic Forum


ALGIERS-Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdelkader Messahel, will represent President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos (Switzerland), the Foreign Ministry announced Monday in a communiqué.

“Representative of the President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel will take part at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum on 22 January 2019 in Davos-Klosters (Switzerland),” said the same source.

As a panelist, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will take part at a session entitled “Peace and National Reconciliation”, organized by the World Economic Forum, where he will make a contribution on “the Algerian experience in this area, in particular, the policy of national reconciliation led by the President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, “the statement added.

The 49th edition of the Davos Forum “is an important annual event aimed at contributing to the development of the international agenda on political, economic, socio-cultural, and international peace and security issues”, underlined the Ministry’s communique.
