Five political parties and six personalities, as independent candidates, have withdrawn, until now, nomination forms for the presidential election, scheduled for 18 April 2019, said Sunday, in Algiers, Minister of Interior, Local Authorities and National Planning Noureddine Bedoui.
In a press conference organized at the end of the National Forum on Illegal Migration “harga,” Bedoui said that five political parties have withdrawn, until now, the nomination forms for the presidential election, namely the Algerian Rally (RA), the Front of Democrat Youths for Citizenship (FJDC), El Moustakbal Front party, Ennasr El-Watani party and Talaie El Hourriyet party, in addition to six personalities who expressed their attention to participate in this election as independent candidates.
Affirming that this figure is set to rise, Bedoui reiterated that the Ministry of Interior “has been working for months for the preparation of material and human conditions to make sure that the presidential electoral operation goes smoothly.”
The Ministry of Interior invited, Saturday, the candidates for the presidential election of 18 April 2019 to withdraw individual nomination forms at the headquarters of the ministry in accordance with the provisions of the organic law 16-10 of 25 August 2016 relating to the electoral system.
