AINTEMOUCHANT- Algeria is seeking to export its electricity and work tirelessly on this project, which is part of the diversification of the national economy, Minister of Energy, Mustapha Guitouni said Thursday in Ain Temouchent.

During his working and inspection visit to the province of Ain Temouchent, the minister pointed out that “Algeria has decided to export its electricity and works to strengthen the power lines of 400 kilovolts”.

Visiting the combined live power plant of the SPA “Sharika Kahraba Terga”, (SKT) in the municipality of Ouled Boudjemaa, the minister stressed that “in addition to the extension of power lines with a current capacity of 400 kilovolts, we are considering the installation of an underwater cable and its extension to Europe. There is no obstacle to do so and no reason for Sonelgaz not to export its electricity.

In this local community, the minister visited the “Belaziz Miloud” primary school, connected to renewable energy. He called on officials to take over the connection of schools in rural areas in the future and give them priority so that they can have heating.
