Algeria-USA: Four MoUs on agricultural partnership inked


ALGIERS – Four Memoranda of Understanding have been inked, Wednesday in Sacramento (California), between US consortium Robert International Agriculture Development (RIDA) and Algerian economic operators, for the setting up of partnership projects in the agricultural fields, said Friday the ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fishing in a communiqué.


The Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, Abdelkader Bouazghi, who paid  a working visit from January 13 to 18 to the United States, to present the various agricultural development programs initiated by the President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika as part of the National Plan for Agricultural Development (NADP), “attended the signing ceremony of these four Memoranda of Understanding between the two parties for the establishment of partnership projects in the fields of the transformation of the potato and dairy production, “according to the press release.

In his address on this occasion, Mr. Bouazghi, stressed the need to further develop economic relations between the two countries in a win-win partnership.

At the end of this meeting, the two parties agreed to work to strengthen bilateral cooperation and develop a diversified, mutually beneficial and sustainable partnership, taking advantage of the quality of the political and commercial relations between the two parties.
