Algeria-Malta: Opening of air link discussed


Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel met in Valletta with his Maltese counterpart Carmelo Abela, on Friday, on the sidelines of his participation in the 15th Conference of Foreign Ministers of  5 + 5 Dialogue, in his capacity as Co-President of this meeting.

During this meeting, which focused on bilateral relations and ways and means of strengthening them, the two ministers hailed the quality of the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, which are experiencing a “dynamic” since the second session of the Joint Committee in December 2018 in Malta.

They reaffirmed “their commitment to work together for the strengthening and diversification of bilateral cooperation, through the exploration of new promising areas, including tourism.”

In this context, the two ministers, also, discussed issues related to the air link between the two countries.

In addition, the two ministers exchanged views on issues of common interest, including topics on the agenda of the 15th Conference of Foreign Ministers of the 5 + 5 Dialogue, which they co-chaired.
