As part of his visit to Finland, which coincides with the celebration of Yennayer National Day, Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel shared the celebration with members of Finland’s national community.
At this meeting, Foreign Minister said that the celebration of Yennayer’s holiday “comes within the framework of the reappropriation of national identity in all its components; Islamic, Arab and Amazigh,” recalling, in this regard, the decision of the President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika to make the feast of the Amazigh year a holiday.
The minister added that this decision “strengthens national unity and stability.
The members of the national community present at the celebrations “highly appreciated” Minister of Foreign Affairs’ initiative, reiterating their “attachment to the country of origin”. They also highlighted their “willingness to contribute to its development”.
It is worth mentioning that this meeting is part of the regular contact with the national community abroad and the continuous improvement of the services provided to them.
