Algeria purchases up to 550,000 tonnes wheat in tender


Up to 550,000 tonnes of milling wheat have been purchased by Algeria in a tender which closed on Tuesday, European traders said on Wednesday.

Algeria’s state grains agency OAIC bought around 550,000 tonnes of milling wheat in a tender which closed on Tuesday.

In this aspect, the milling wheat has been purchased at $261.50 and $262 a tonne c&f, added the same source.

With regard to shipments, it will take place in two periods, Feb. 16-28 and March 1-15. South American origins can be loaded earlier between Feb. 1-15 and Feb. 16-28.
