US Embassy in Algiers suspends updating its Facebook, Twitter accounts


US Embassy in Algiers announced Sunday, Jan. 6 the suspension of its Facebook and Twitter accounts for budgetary reasons.

U.S. Embassy in Algeria announced, suddenly, that it will suspend the updating of its content on social media.

“Due to the lapse in appropriations, this account will not be updated regularly. Please visit U.S. Department of State for updates,” indicates the US Diplomatic Representation.


It is worth mentioning that U.S. ambassador to Algeria, John Desrocher, has another personal Twitter account followed by 36,000 persons.
