“The year 2018 has been rich in victories and achievements due to the resistance of Western Sahara people, adding that the battle will continue until the establishment of Saharawi State sovereignty over all the Saharawi territories,” highlighted the president of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) and Secretary General of the Frente POLISARIO, Brahim Gali.

In an address at the 20th Saharawi intellectual meeting, President Gali said “the year 2018 has been rich in victories and achievements thanks to the resistance of the Saharawi women, and people, both at home and abroad, at the national, continental and international levels, especially as the Geneva meeting was a major step forward.”

The Saharawi side “welcomes and supports the efforts of UN secretary general’s personal envoy, Horst Köhler,” Ghali said, reiterating his willingness to cooperate, in good faith, to complete the decolonization process in Western Sahara which will allow Saharawi people to exercise their inalienable right to self-determination and independence,”

“The struggle will continue and Sahrawi women will remain, forever, at the forefront of the decisive battle that will certainly end with a victory and the establishment of Saharawi state’s sovereignty over all the territory.
