Some 645 Merceds Benz-branded vehicles were delivered to various national institutions and companies, on Sunday, at the headquarters of the SAFAV-MB Algerian Vehicle Manufacturing Company of Ain Bouchekif (Tiaret) under the Ministry of National Defense.

The director general of SAFAV-MB, Karim Kherroubi, said that 206 vehicles were destined for the Central Directorate of the National People’s Army (ANP), another 220 for the Directorate General of the National Gendarmerie (DGSN), 30 others for the Directorate-General for Civil Protection and 175 school buses were commissioned by the Ministry of the Interior, Local Assemblies and Regional Planning.
The remaining vehicles are intended for two companies belonging to the Sonatrach group and the local administration departments of the provinces of M’sila and Nâama.
Speaking on this occasion, the same manager pointed out that the SAFAV-MB has developed in 2018 more than 30 types of vehicles, including off-terrain Sprinter for the transport of people with a capacity of 24 seats, armored vans for transportation of funds and cold vehicles and others according to the demand of the customers.
According to Karim Kharoubi, this year’s production and sales have increased by 20 percent compared to 2017.
