Algeria-Burkina Faso friendship parliamentary group installed


The Algeria-Burkina Faso friendship parliamentary group was installed, Thursday, in Algiers, announced the People’s National Assembly (Lower House).

The installation ceremony was chaired by Mr. Abdelhamid Si Affif, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and National Community Abroad, in the presence of the Burkina Faso Ambassador to Algiers, Dominique Djindjere and a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Si Affif hailed “the quality of the relations of friendship that bind the two peoples and countries”, affirming “the will of Algeria to work for their consolidation and promotion at the highest levels”.

He also referred to “the common challenges facing the Sahel region”, stressing the need for the combined efforts of the countries of the region to overcome them.

On the issue of clandestine migration, Mr. Si Affif stressed “Algeria’s commitment to adopt a comprehensive approach that takes into account all aspects, including development in the context of respect for human rights and human dignity. ”

The Ambassador hailed, for his part, “the depth of relations between the two countries and peoples”, highlighting that the parliamentary friendship group will likely “to inject a strong momentum into bilateral relations”.
