The sixth edition of the Trade Fair of Crafts opened, Wednesday in Oran, with the participation of more than 60 artisans from 18 provinces of the country.
The Fair, organized by the Local Chamber of Crafts and Trades, was opened by the Secretary General of the province, and will run until January 1st at the Center of Crafts in the city located in Haï Essabah (East of Oran).
This event is a good opportunity for artisans to make known their products in various specialties such as; pottery, leather, traditional costumes, copper, traditional furniture, jewelry and other handicrafts.
Visitors will also be able to discover and admire the diversity and richness of the tangible and intangible national heritage, reflecting the country’s civilizational depth.
Coinciding with the winter school holidays, the show is also an opportunity to organize workshops related to the field of crafts and others dedicated to children. “The goal is to instill in them the love of these crafts that must be preserved because they represent an invaluable national heritage,” CAM director Mahtar Tani Noureddine told APS.
