Algerian-Senegalese Parliamentary friendship Group installed


An Algerian-Senegalese Parliamentary friendship Group was set up, Tuesday, at the headquarters of the People’s National Assembly in order to “strengthen the friendship ties, bringing views closer and implement a framework suitable for the joint coordination and action,” said a communiqué of the People’s National Assembly.

The installation ceremony was chaired by Abdelhamid Si Affif, Chairman of the Commission on Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and National Community established abroad, in the presence of Ambassador of Senegal to Algeria, Anta Coulibaly Diallo.

In his speech, Mr. Si Affif said that several indicators affirm that there is real direction towards the strengthening of the bilateral relations, in particular, in the economic and commercial domains, as evidenced by the signing of the partnership mechanisms in 2016, the opening of a weekly Dakar-Alger airline for the transport of goods since 2016, the participation, in 2015, of the FCE at the Economic Forum and the strong presence of Algeria, in November, at Dakar International Fair.
In this aspect, the Chairman of the Commission emphasized the need to “reactivate African parliamentary institutions.
