Manuscripts, listed in different parts of the country, were exhibited as part of the second edition of Khizanate exhibition or cabinet (traditional library) of manuscripts, opened, Tuesday, at the house of culture of the province of Adrar.
Initiated by the National Manuscript Center (CNM), this cultural event aims to highlight the wealth of precious Khizanate scattered throughout the country, said the head of the department of safeguarding and archives at the CNM.
This exhibition, which includes models of the provinces of Adrar, Biskra, Béchar, Tlemcen and Relizane cabinets, was used by academics, researchers, students and the public to exchange their experiences.
According to the same official, more than 85 Khizanate have been recorded throughout the territory of the province of Adrar and a heritage of more than 3,000 manuscripts have been digitized.
The National Manuscript Center plans to hold a national manuscripts seminar in the first quarter of next year to exchange experiences.
