Oil: Energy Minister Guitouni to take part in OAPEC meeting, Sunday

Minister of Energy, Mustapha Guitouni will take part, Sunday in Kuwait, in the meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC), the Ministry announced Friday in a communiqué.

The Council of Ministers of the Organisation of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) will hold its 101st meeting in Kuwait on Sunday.

OAPEC Secretary-General, Abbas Ali Al-Naqi, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the meeting will discuss the Secretariat-General’s budget, as well as the organisation’s Judicial Tribunal for the coming year.

It will also review the Secretariat-General’s activities during this year, especially regarding studies it has conducted.

Made up of 10 member countries, this organization, based in Kuwait, aims to coordinate the energy policies of Arab countries in order to promote their economic development.
