“Thanks to the sacrifices of its women and men, the Algerian police have been able to achieve important achievements in several areas, relying on professionalism and science and knowledge, in addition to investing in the human element,” said Mr. Bedoui at the opening of the ceremony, organized by the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) at the Police College” Ali Tounsi “, on the occasion of the celebration of the Day of the Arab police (18 December), in the presence of the Director General of National Security, Colonel Mustapha El Habiri, members of the government and senior officials of the State.
Reiterating “the support of the government to the Algerian police and its support in the process of achieving the objectives set by judicious operational plans to develop its material and human capabilities to meet the challenges and be able to fight, with force and efficiency, against the different forms of crime “, the Minister of the Interior drew attention to” the situation witnessed in the whole world, which requires more vigilance and the combination of the efforts of all the security corps “.
In this regard, he hailed the efforts of the Algerian police to “broaden the scope of its outreach and openness to the external environment and all actors in society.
In the same vein, the minister recalled the choice of Algeria by the African police chiefs to assume the management of the affairs of the police cooperation organization (Afripol), that “Algeria has the honor to shelter under the patronage of the President of the Republic “.
Referring to the Arab Police Day, Mr. Bedoui said that its celebration by Algeria reflects “itsstrong determination to continue to move forward, with sure steps and on the right path, to strengthen its institutional building.
