Qualitative participation at Maghreb Monodrama Festival


LAGHOUAT (Algeria)- At least 165 participants, playwrights and trainees, are taking part in the fifth Maghreb Monodrama Festival, opened Tuesday evening in Laghouat, at the initiative of the local association of dramatic arts Derb El-Acil.

This Maghreb event, running for five days at the house of culture “Abdallah Benkeriou”, brings together playwrights, artists as well as young people from various wilayas of the country and other countries, such as; Morocco, Tunisia and Libya, who will take benefit, on this occasion, from training workshops in the art of monodrama, said the organizers.

The program of these monodrama days includes, in addition to performances, training workshops on the preparation of the playwright and animation, supervised by professionals, in addition to the animation, by playwrights and academics, of academic communications on the subject.

The opening ceremony, which was attended by many lovers of the 4th art, led to the organization of a ceremony in honor of theater figures, including Hakim Dekkar, Abdelhak Benmâarouf, the director Hamida Aït El -Hadj, the scenographer Abderrahmane Zaaboubi, and the scholar Saoudi Bouzid.
