Tiaret’s house of culture “Ali Maachi” organizes, as of next Sunday, the first national exhibition of the Arabic calligraphy, said, Wednesday, the director of this cultural house.
This three-day event will record, at the gallery “Abdelhak Chaouche”, the participation of 40 exhibitors from 15 wilayas of the country, said Rabea El Adaouia Habba.
The program of this fair, organized under the patronage of Tiaret’s wali, Abdeslam Bentouati, includes training workshops for children, introducing them to the aesthetics of Arabic calligraphy, and a lecture on the history of Arabic calligraphy, which will be animated by the teacher of Arabic literature at the University of Tiaret, Mansour M’hidi.
“The objective of this show is to create a space for meeting and exchange between artists and activate this artistic domain almost absent in Tiaret,” pointed outthe same official.
