The third edition of the National University Exhibition of Photography opened, Sunday in Saida, with the participation of 100 students from 14 provinces.

The first day of this event, organized in the cinema hall “Dounyazed” under the direction of the University of Saida, gave rise to a conference led by the academic Beghalia Ahmed, who stressed that “the most beautiful photographs are spontaneous with a touch of creativity and beauty “, highlighting the importance of the photo in the documentation of historical events and memories.

The Saida wali, Seif El Islam Louh declared, for his part, that “the photo documented the history of the struggle of the Algerian people against the French colonizer, highlighting the atrocity of the colonial army (massacres, torture and deportation)”.

He called on the students participating in this event to highlight the history of Algeria by exhibiting photographs of different events that the country has experienced in its long struggle during the colonial period.

For his part, the Director of Academic Works, Chehida Mohamed, stressed that this event will allow us to discover young talents.

This day was marked by an exhibition of student photos on themes dealing with the events of December 11, 1960, nature, tourism, and cameras.
