75 copies of documentaries on National Liberation War indexed


The laboratory of the University of Oran “Ahmed Benbella” that lists war films in the Algerian cinema has collected 75 copies of documentaries about the War of National Liberation, said the laboratory’s head Professor Aissa Ras El Ma.

This scientific laboratory has listed 70 to 75 documentary copies, these cinematographic works deal with various events experienced by Algeria during the French colonization through testimonies of friends of the Algerian cause.

These copies were acquired by researchers activating in the laboratory, from European countries; including Bulgaria and France: the French Research Center of cinematographic archives of black Africa.

“These historical works are a subject of research for those who are preparing doctoral theses on the history of the war of national liberation,” pointed out the official, noting that the laboratory makes this archive available to researchers and endows students all the necessary means to realize their theses.
