Algerian Islamologist and former minister of Higher Education, Mustapha Cherif, said, Monday in New York, that Algeria, a “vanguardist in terms of peace and dialogue among civilizations,” attaches a paramount importance to the culture of peace for the prevention and settlement of conflicts.
In his remarkable intervention at the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) World Forum in New York, the Algerian thinker noted that “Algeria, because of its central geostrategic position, a crossroads of civilizations, and its history from Emir Abdelkader’s epic to the November message and the politics of national reconciliation, is a “vanguardist in terms of peace and dialogue among civilizations.
