Algerian and South African businessmen are working together for a win-win partnership, said,in Oran Tuesday, South Africa’s ambassador to Algeria, Dennis T. Dlomo.
“South Africa has put in place mechanisms to assist in the facilitation and promotion of investments, particularly in Africa, the South African diplomat said in a statement to the APS on the sidelines of a Economic Forum organized at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Oran (CCIO), in the presence of economic operators of the region from different sectors.
The Ambassador of South Africa to Algeria cited, in this regard, the example of “Trade Invest Africa Agency”, an agency created in 2016 in South Africa to help local economic operators to settle abroad.
Mr. Dlomo mentioned a number of partnership agreements inked between the two countries, including training in the aviation sector and support for industrial, oil and gas activities.
“Our priorities are mining sector, infrastructure development, construction, health and pharmaceuticals, tourism, agri-food, renewable energy, manufacturing industry, NICT, services and the energy sector,” he said, adding that discussions are ongoing with Algerian companies to seal partnership actions whose contracts are being signed.
The South African diplomat discussed, also, the development of automotive subcontracting in Algeria, free trade (Africa) and the harmonization of standards for the registration of products in the field of health.
Besides, the South African Ambassador held a meeting at Renault Algeria production (RAP) factory in Oued Tlélat.
His program also includes a meeting, Wednesday, with the Governor of Oran, Mouloud Cherifi, and a visit to the National Enterprise of Electronic Industries (ENIE) of Sidi Bel-Abbes.
