Premier Ahmed Ouyahia, on Sunday, donated a book on Emir Abdelkader entitled “Emir Abdelkader: The Epic of Wisdom” to the library of the Paris Peace Forum.
“President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, commissioned me to offer this book, in three languages (Arabic, English and French), in testimony of the sacrifices of Algeria for the peace and security in the world,” pointed out Prime Minister.
The handover ceremony was attended by Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel.
“The preface of the book (published in 2017) is signed by President Bouteflika” added the official.
The Beau-Livre, consisting of five chapters, tells the life and journey of the founder of the modern Algerian state. He evokes the Emir ; the strategist and the statesman, the mystic, the humanist and the intellectual.It has been co-written by 11 personalities, specialists in the fields of history, literature and religions, known for their writings on the thought, humanism and culture of the Emir.
Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia, accompanied by Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel, has been appointed by the President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, to take part in the commemoration ceremonies of the centenary of the Armistice that marked the end of the First World War.
After taking part Sunday morning, alongside 72 heads of state and government, at the ceremony commemorating the end of the Great War, he participated, in the afternoon, at the Paris Forum on Peace.
