Presidential Elections: Presidential majority parties to formalize relations in support of President Bouteflika

The four political parties forming the presidential majority held Wednesday, in Algiers, a coordination meeting in which they decided “to formalize their relations within a framework of a coalition in support” of President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika, according to a statement issued at the end of meeting.

 

 

“The secretary general of the National Liberation Front (FLN), Djamel Ould Abbes, the secretary general of the National Democratic Rally (RND), Ahmed Ouyahia, the head of Tajamoua Al Djazair (TAJ), Amar Ghoul, and the president of the Algerian People’s Movement (MPA), Amara Benyounes, held today, Wednesday 7 November 2018, a meeting for coordination between the parties of the Presidential majority,” the statement said.

“After they analysed the political situation in the country, especially ahead of the forthcoming presidential elections, the four parties have decided to formalize their relations within the framework of a coalition in support of his Excellency, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, President of the Republic,” the statement concluded.
