Algeria to take part in Palermo Conference on Libya

Algeria will attend Palermo Conference on Libya, scheduled for 12 November in Palermo (Italy), Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia said Monday in Algiers.

 

Speaking at a joint-press conference with his Italian counterpart, Guiseppe Conte, the Algerian official said that Algeria will take part, as of November 12, at Palermo Conference on Libya.

Mr. Ouyahia recalled, in this regard, that Algeria supports the efforts exerted by the United Nations” to resolve the Libyan crisis that has shaken Libya for several years.

He added that the Algerian delegation will work “for its success in reaching a political solution in Libya”.

Regarding illegal immigrations, PM declared that Algeria will repatriate any illegal migrant whose Algerian identity is established, in accordance with the standards and principles of international law.
