British Ambassador to Algeria Barry Lowen’s impression about Algerians, touristic sites-video


The British Ambassador to Algeria, Barry Lowen, hailed, in a 1:30- minute video, the hospitality and warm welcome he received from the Algerians during his tours in the country.


“I have been delighted by the hospitality and the welcome I have received from the Algerians, general hospitality in the homes and welcome in the streets, for example; during my visit to the Casbah,” said Mr. Lowen, adding:” People have shown me around the fascinating streets….they told me: “El dar darkom”, [which means: “ Our home is also yours “].

The British Envoy has paid visits to several touristic sites in Algeria, including the Roman ruins located in different provinces nationwide, as well as several regions, such as; the province of Constantine, known as “the city of bridges”.

The official has not missed the opportunity to experience diving in the sea of Algiers.

“I have been pleased to visit interesting places, for example, the Roman ruins, in Tipaza, Djemila and Timgad,” pointed out the British Diplomat, adding: “I have enjoyed diving in the sea of Algiers.”
