“Algeria will repatriate home all its nationals staying in Germany illegally, no matter their number,” said Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia following talks with visiting German Chancellor Angala Merkel.
“Algeria will have its children back (in illegal situation in Germany), either they are 3000 or 5000. (This operation will be conducted) in full compliance with the rules agreed with the German authorities,” affirmed Ouyahia, during a press conference jointly hosted with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, on an one- day official visit to Algeria.
“Those nationals will be identified,” added the Algerian official.
Merkel was received by President Abdelaziz Bouteflika. Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia, Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel, Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and National Planning Nourredine Bedoui, and Minister of Industry and Mining Youcef Yousfi were present at the audience.
The German chancellor was welcomed, upon her arrival in Houari-Boumediene International Airport, here by Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia, and members of the government.
This visit, part of the high level bilateral dialogue “is meant to reinforce the relations of friendship and cooperation that exist between Algeria and Germany, and which are significantly growing in all the fields, reflected in the numerous visits by the two countries’ senior officials.”
